This was a pre-wedding photo shoot and family photo shoot all in one. I’m always happy for kids to come along to pre-shoots. It’s a great opportunity to get you all comfortable with me and my camera before the big day. The shoot took place at Burrator Reservoir on a drizzly, slightly misty winter’s day. But the damp weather didn’t stop these four making the most of their family day out.

This photo shoot actually happened back in March 2020 - I know right, it’s taken me a long time to share these photos!! At the time of this shoot, we had heard about Covid but we really had no idea what was coming. Chloe & Ian were due to marry in May 2020 and we were still hopeful that it would go ahead. Not long after this photo shoot, we went into lockdown and as you probably guessed, Chloe and Ian’s wedding didn’t go ahead as planned.

Fast forward to today and the couple are less than a month away from their new wedding day. This upcoming celebration is a little different to how they’d first planned it. The wedding will now be going ahead with just 30 guests, there will no doubt be face masks and social distancing rules to follow too. I’ve now photographed six covid secure small weddings and I can say with confidence that those weddings were just as fun, beautiful and enjoyable as weddings were before the pandemic. Chloe and Ian will be getting married at Lewtrenchard Manor, a luxury hotel nestled beneath Dartmoor’s wild tors. It will be my first wedding at Lewtrenchard and I honestly can’t wait to be there and document the day for such a lovely couple.
