A tree will be planted every time I’m booked for a wedding.

I’ve made many changes in my day to day life as I strive to live a sustainable eco-friendly lifestyle.  I’m certainly not perfect and I know there are still changes that I want to make as I’m still in the process of finding the all the right eco alternatives for my household. Planting trees with my business is something I am so pleased to be doing. Trees are vital to the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. Having a tree planted with every wedding booking contributes to reforestation efforts, repairing our damaged ecosystem and mitigating climate changes. I have planted some trees via Tree Appeal UK and some via more:trees. Whichever organisation I plant with will issue me with a certificate for every tree I pay to have planted and the couple who have booked with me receive confirmation of the planting via email. Tree Appeal plants trees mainly within schools around the UK and More:trees plant trees throughout the globe, they work where they are needed most - currently their projects are within Madagascar, Kenya and Haiti.

I’m working on cutting out plastic within my business.

Every time I’ve bought something that’s wrapped in bubble wrap or protective plastic packaging I’ve saved in instead of putting it in the bin. This means I have a lot of bubble wrap and plastic packaging in my house that needs using up before I can switch to a completely plastic free alternative. So if you receive plastic packaging from me when your final package arrives with your disks and USB, please rest assured that I am still in the process of phasing out plastic and once these things are used up I will not be purchasing more plastic based packaging!
