As a Plymouth based wedding photographer, it’s always exciting to venture outside Devon or Cornwall for weddings. I had photographed a wedding in Cheltenham before - 10 years ago at The Pittville Pump Room and this time I was working at another stunning Cheltenham wedding venue - Cheltenham College!
Abby & Jack were actually recommended to me by the Pittville Pump Room couple - small world eh?

We started the morning prep at Jack and Abby’s House. It was a really relaxed morning - the girls all did their own make up. The Bride’s hair was done by Leanne Lishman Artistry and one of Abby’s friends (who’s always been so good with hair but doesn’t do it professionally) came along to do the Bridesmaid’s hair.

The Ceremony was held in Cheltenham College Chapel which is absolutely breath-taking and gives Royal wedding vibes!

After the ceremony, tea, coffee and cakes were served and we took an opportunity to pop back into the chapel, just the three of us, for some photos of the Bride and Groom alone in there.

It was a beautiful sunny and warm day, so guests were enjoying the outside space of the college courtyard. And during that time, we did some group photos too.

The reception was held in the college dining hall, which is another impressive and beautiful room - so vast and grand. Catering was all done by the college too, which was utterly delicious - best ‘school dinner’ ever - the students there are so lucky!

The evening reception was kicked off by cutting the cake, which was a incredible stack of cheeses from Snowdonia Cheese Company. The cheese became a great accompaniment to the evening buffet.

The couple booked live music for their entertainment - Gloucestershire based band Suffolk Parade who were brilliant! They played a good mix of songs from Blink 182 to Whigfield’s ‘Saturday Night’ - where the front man joined the crowd to show them how to do the Saturday Night Dance. Abby and Jack also hired the LOOVE BOOTH Photo Booth from Belle Studio and guests enjoyed joining in, in a sparkler tunnel outside the front of the dining hall too.
