SNEAKY PROPOSALS…

Option 1:

Sneaky proposals require a lot of planning beforehand, and I always visit your chosen location in advance to properly scope it out.

If you’re able to join me for the location scout, we can plan everything together on the day — working out the exact spot, positioning, and how it will all unfold. By the end of our visit to the location together, we’ll both have a strong plan for the day and we can just tie up those final last minute details in a quick email afterwards.

If you’re not able to attend the location scout, I’ll do all of this for you and send across my findings to you afterwards. This usually includes test shots and often a video walkthrough* (with voiceover and annotations) so you can clearly visualise the plan — where to stand, how it will look, and how we’ll make it all work seamlessly without giving anything away. When I’m doing the location scout myself it’s a hefty bit of planning involving a lot of admin on my part - but it’s the key to making sure everything feels natural and runs smoothly on the day.

Because of this, I offer two options depending on how involved you’d like to be:

Guided Planning

(You join me for the location scout)

• £375 – within 30 minutes of Plymouth

• £375–£425 – within 1 hour

• £425–£475 – within 1.5 hours

• £475–£525 – within 2 hours

Full Planning Service

(I handle the full planning and send everything to you)

• £450 – within 30 minutes of Plymouth

• £450–£500 – within 1 hour

• £500–£550 – within 1.5 hours

• £550–£600 – within 2 hours

All sneaky proposal packages include:

• Travel (for both the location scout and proposal day) - I will calculate travel costs from my home address in Plymouth.

• Full and thorough planning and communication

• Professional editing

• A private online gallery of high-resolution images

• A photo shoot after the proposal (approx. 1 hour)

Option 2:

(A proposal during a planned photo shoot — no pre-location scouting required)

If you’re planning to propose as part of a photo shoot, things are much simpler. You’ll of course need to explain a “reason” for me being there/for the photo shoot. I will introduce myself to you and your partner and we’ll do one or two photos before the proposal, just to get comfortable with the camera and hopefully eliminate suspicion. We’ll need to arrange a couple of key phrases between us, you could say that you ‘really love this spot’ to let me know it’s the area you’d like to use for the proposal. And then I can actually direct and position you, exactly as I need you to be for the big moment - giving you another of our key phrases so you know I’m ready for the big moment. There’s still going to be some light planning involved but the location scout beforehand will not be needed - as I’ll be able to actually talk to both of you - directing and setting up the perfect shot for you on the day itself.

All Relaxed Proposal Shoots include:

• Travel on the day of the proposal (no scout) - I will calculate travel costs from my home address in Plymouth.

• Light planning and communication

• Professional editing

• A private online gallery

• A photo shoot as part of the proposal (approx. 1 hour)

Option 3:

EVENT PROPOSALS…

If you’re planning to propose during an event (such as a party or gathering), this would be covered as event photography rather than a standalone proposal.

• Extra time after the mini shoot - to document an additional part of your proposal plans on camera.

• Extra planning services - like arranging for me to set things up in time for you and your partner arriving (like a treasure hunt for example).

• Professional videography (through an associate of mine).

• Or maybe the location you have in mind is further out than my 2 hour radius.

Lastly, I know that proposals can all be so different from one to the next. So if I do feel like a bit more planning may be required on my part (in order for us to make your vision come to be) or more admin/correspondence is needed than usual; I may need to alter my quote accordingly.
