Hi, I’m Leah!
And the first thing you need to know about me is…
I have been a wedding photographer for almost 12 years and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Weddings are some of the best days that life has to offer us, and documenting these incredible events is truly an honour.
I grew up in Cornwall and now live in Devon but both counties feel like home to me. Being based in the South West, most of the weddings I capture are within Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. But my work photographing weddings does occasionally take me around the UK too and I’m always excited to explore new places!
My approach is to capture your wedding day as naturally as possible - those candid photos are often the ones that have a story to tell. I want to make photos for you that are treasured for decades to come - the same way I treasure my Grandparent’s wedding photos from 1953. Weddings aren’t just about the unplanned moments though, the portraits and group photos are just as important - it’s not every day the whole family is together in one place. So I won’t shy away from offering a little direction or creativity, if and when situation calls for it. The main thing you need to know about my approach is that I will adapt to you! Before the wedding, I’ll take the time to get to know what matters to you and how you want your wedding story to be told.

I believe that every couple deserves a wedding photographer who wants to be there and loves their job.
I’m often approached by wedding guests who tell me that they can see how much I love my job, because I am smiling, dancing and laughing as I work. The excitement and enthusiasm I have for my job has not worn off over the 11 and a half years that I have been photographing wedding days. I feel sure that I would want to continue working even if I won the lottery because I get so much enjoyment from what I do.

All of my wedding photography packages offer hourly coverage options, starting from three hours coverage up to full day photography coverage.
You can include vintage film photography to your wedding, with my optional extra called GO VINTAGE!

My love of film cameras actually led me to find a camera that had undeveloped film inside for 28 years! I developed the film and with the power of Facebook I was able to reunite the photos with the family. Read about my mystery camera and the photos I found here.

I photograph other things too…
Wedding photography is essentially all other types of photography rolled into one (well, almost). You need to be able to direct big crowds of people, you need to know what to do in super bright direct sunlight and really low light venues. You work with children, animals, food, heirloom jewellery, sparklers, disco lights - the list goes on and on. It’s such a broad event to specialise in, and in order to specialise in weddings you have to be able to do a bit of everything. So naturally, I am also interested in photographing other things that are not related to weddings or proposals, providing they are local to Devon or Cornwall. I will be more available for non-wedding work during the off season but it’s always worth checking in with me if there’s something you’re hoping to book me for in the summer months, I might be able to fit it in.
Events such as vow renewals, parties, hen dos or stag dos, naming ceremonies and Christenings are second nature for a wedding photographer to photograph. Something else that I love is live music photography, so do get in touch if your band is looking for some live promotional images. I also love doing promotional band photoshoots but as I am not a studio based photographer, I am limited to working in venues or outdoors. Other outdoor shoots I enjoy doing are family photoshoots, outdoor maternity photography and couple photo shoots - bonus points if you bring your dog along, I LOVE dogtography!
