Not local, eh?
If you’ve clicked on this page, it probably means you’re wondering what I charge for weddings outside of my local area?
If travelling to your wedding from my home could take me longer than 2 hours, it may be wise for me to acquire accommodation nearer to your venue and travel there the day before your wedding. Travelling on the morning of your wedding could be risky, with potential travel delays. By reducing my travel time for the day of the wedding, it also means you’re getting a fresher faced photographer turning up to work on your big day.
Depending on how far I’m travelling, it’s possible that I may need to book accommodation for the night of your wedding too. Weddings are long days, and so it may be safer for myself (and your photos) if I get some rest before journeying back home.
When I’m travelling further afield, I have to consider fuel costs but also the extra time that I am putting into the service I’m giving you - all those driving hours.
So sure, the prices you see here on this page are going to be more than my local Devon and Cornwall weddings, but remember these prices are just estimates - I will be able to properly quote you once I have all the details of where I’m going.
I am based in Plymouth, which is just on the boarder of Cornwall and Devon. It is a great location to be based, because it means both counties are really accessible to me. If your wedding is within Devon or Cornwall, I can usually comfortably travel to your morning prep from my home address in the morning, and then head straight back home when I’ve finished photographing at the end of the day that same evening.

For weddings within Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset…
I will only charge extra for accommodation IF I’m going to need it. NO CHARGE FOR EXTRA TRAVEL TIME OR FUEL - Bargain!
It’ll all depend on where your wedding is, how many hours you’re booking me for etc. If your wedding is taking place more than 2 hours away from my home in Plymouth, it is possible that I may need accommodation. We can discuss this together and work out if accommodation would be needed, and whether I’ll need it for just one night or two.
And I wouldn’t need anything fancy - Travelodge’s are fine with me.

My time and guidance on the lead up to the wedding day
No two weddings are the same and so I want to learn all the important information about your day, in advance. Timings of the day and a group photo list is the very basic information I’ll need from you. But if you’re happy to share, I’d love to know more! I’d like to hear a bit about you and the important people you’re inviting to your day. Tell me about the guest who’s travelled from the other side of the world to be at your wedding, the sentimental décor and the little details that make your wedding unique to you. The more I know, the better! I acquire all these details from you by asking you to fill out a questionnaire, which I’ll email to you once you’ve booked. This questionnaire covers everything and will probably make you think of things you haven’t considered yet. Having this information from you in writing via the questionnaire is invaluable to me, because it allows me to spend a day looking through it all, checking timings and ensuring your group photo list will flow smoothly and quickly. Communication between us before the wedding is so important and it’s the only way I’ll be able to capture your wedding, your way.
One photographer (me)
It should go without saying but my hourly coverage will start from the time I start working on your wedding day (not from the time I leave my house) and coverage finishes when I finish working for the day, not when I arrive home.
It’s also worth noting that you are booking ME to photograph your wedding. I don’t use associate photographers to shoot the weddings on my behalf so that I can focus on other things or be at another wedding. I’m a wedding photographer not an entrepreneur, and I care about being there for you on your wedding day.
All photos will be professionally edited with care and attention (by me)
So many photographers are now outsourcing their editing to someone else. I do understand the benefits of outsourcing, it frees up a lot of time for the photographer and it often means they can deliver photos much quicker to their clients. But I enjoy the editing, it’s part of my creative process and I want to give my time to you and your photos.
No limit on the amount of photos you’ll receive, plus all photos in colour and black and white
You’ll receive all of the best photos, I won’t hold back. Asking me how many you’ll get is an impossible question for me to answer as every wedding is different - but I always deliver a decent amount, in line with industry expectations. You’ll also have every photo in both colour and black and white.
A private and password protected online gallery, where you can view, share and download your photos
Your online gallery will be active for at least two years after your wedding day and it is a fantastic way of sharing your photos with your loved ones. Just send them the URL link and password and they’ll be able to view all of your photos from anywhere in the world at any time. Let them know the pin code if you want them to be able to download high resolution photos free of charge. There will be no limit to the amount of high res downloads for you or your guests, so you can make countless copies for safe keeping. There is also the option of ordering prints directly from the gallery.
A little gift, from me to you
A wooden heart ornament, personalised with your initials and wedding date. Perfect for a Christmas tree decoration but it will look lovely displayed in your home all year around. I’ll usually post this to you after the wedding, once all of your photos are edited.
I make a small donation to charity, each time I am booked for a wedding
I make a £3 donation to charity every time I am booked for a wedding. It doesn’t sound like much but it all adds up and I’m proud to be donating something, rather than nothing at all. The charity I donate to varies depending on the month. Find out more here.
Your photos will be loaded to a wooden USB stick and presented in a beautiful wooden presentation box, with up to 50 randomly chosen 6x4 prints from your day
Optional Extras…
Videography
I have package deals with some incredible videographers that I have worked with at previous weddings. We work so well together and have equal passion and dedication to the jobs we do. If you book both of us together we will offer a deal for you.
Please get in touch to discuss, and I will contact the videographer’s (there’s more than one) I have deals with, to see who would be available to join me for your day.
A pre-wedding photo shoot
Prices start at £150 for pre-shoots local to my area and other areas can be quoted as needed. It’s a great way to get yourselves comfortable with having your photos taken and getting to know your photographer before the big day.
I am a collector of vintage film cameras and I love being able to take them along to weddings, to capture some timeless images for my couples. I have various Go Vintage packages available, some which include vintage Polaroids too. Take a look at my Go Vintage options here.
